Team Tasha and Harry

Tasha was born 09-26-1998 to Ferris Hill Dolly and South Gate Chase, they were labs from two families in New Canaan CT a wealthy suburb of Fairfield County CT. Tasha was one of 10 puppies.

Tasha at Lake Mohegan for the first time. She found a very big stick.

Tasha made many friends at Lake Mohegan

At three Tasha made her first of three trips to Maine, this was her first taste of the ocean.

Then we moved to Maryland in 2006

Tasha and I attended our first Dockdog event in Frederick MD and eventually found ourselves at Chesapeake VA  where Tasha got her first jump. We started out 2007 with a jump at Pawsabilities in Harrisburg PA and attended a number of events.

Tasha's first junior jump. Notice how collar, wubba, vest and my shirt all color coordinate.

and finished the 2007 season in Rogers MN

This is Tasha's last jump in the Veteran final at Nationals, we came in 4th.

On 2/9/08 life as we know it changed forever. This is the day Tasha was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma of her right ulna and was forced to retire from the sport. We are not sure how long she will survive but hope to make it through the summer, you just don't know with the disease what will happen. Tasha lives each day to the fullest.

Tasha is featured on the K9 Athlete blog.

July 2008

Tasha had her right leg amputated on July 14th and is doing great, she adapted right away and we thank those who stuck with us behind the scenes and in making this decision. Her career has started again and you can follow it on her events page.
